Sujit Meher (Designer)

Early life and education Sujit was Born and brought up in Odisha, He Belong to a place named Dharamgarh which comes under the district of Kalahandi .He was studying to graduate in Engineering, when he decided to change his career path and applied for the india’s premier institute of fashion, National Institute of Fashion Technology in Bangalore. He was studying Fashion and lifestyle accessories design and also did research and project on Indian handicraft jewellery . Career  In early 2013, he was appointed as a designer of a Bollywood production and distribution company Eros International.  At the age of 24 he was the founder of “TILOTTAMA-A hand with You”( that aimed to create designs for social causes.)  In 22 September 2013 he presented another design collection with Sambalpuri fabric with the theme of "Folk becomes fashion", which are creating an evolution in sambalpuri handloom sector. Being the founder of "Tilottama" brand in early age of 24, he became the youngest designer cum entrepreneur from Odisha state making contribution towards art, culture and tradition of India. Sujit blends ikat designed fabric with rich cotton and silk to make fusion collections.He has launched his latest collection with the name of "Story of Tradition" in 23 December 2013 Success life Now, his main focus is to preserve the tradition of India. Meher feels that the art and culture of the region are slowing waning, and therefore, he wishes to do his bit in salvaging it. Graduating in fashion and lifestyle accessory, he is equally adept in product, jewellery and graphic designing. In 2012, he collaborated with Bangalore-based Juhar Parivaar that organises the annual event to celebrate Nuakhai — the most significant festival of western Odisha. Meher added a fashion show to the itinerary of the cultural soiree that mostly used to have song and dance recitals.And it was highly appreciated by media and people.
